What’s New From Sara:
Hola,
Warm greetings from all of the children and all of the volunteers here at Casa Infantil Mojoneras.
How time flies. It seems unbelievable that we are already halfway through 2009 and how many things that have happened so far this year.
One of the most important things that happened this year, thanks be to God, is that we have now paid in full for the land where we will build the new Casa Infantil Mojoneras. I am happy to report that all the proper documentation has been completed and the land is now in the name of Casa Infantil Mojoneras A.C. We believe with faith that we will be able to start the construction soon and finally have a new beautiful home for Casa Infantil and more importantly… stop paying rent.
Another amazing thing that happened this year, is the Nuevo Vallarta Rotary Club (thanks to Sergio Mendez from the very well establish accounting firm of VASA) donated an industrial refrigerator, a large chest freezer, a commercial blender and a commercial stove. As you can see the children are very proud of the new refrigerator and our cook, Chayo, can’t wait to use the new equipment. One million thanks to the Nuevo Vallarta Rotary Club.

Due to the Swine Flu scare, Children’s Day (El Dia de los Ninos) was postponed from April 30th to May 30th. However, once we were able to celebrate, we did it in style thanks to the many volunteers that helped. A big thank you goes out to: The Puerto Vallarta 4 x 4 Team and their Captain Victor Soverniego, our friend and volunteer Marina Levenchuck, David Fitzgerald from Villa Del Palmar Hotels, Miss Karina Otero, Bakery Los Chatos, Starbucks and our great volunteers Claudia Galvan, Paty Garcia, Ximena, Clark & Kathy Waycaster and everyone involved that made this possible. It was a unique and unforgettable party for all of us……… GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

In June the children from Casa Infantil were very excited to be able to play and practice with the beach soccer team from CONCACAF. The players invited the children to a soccer clinic and to be a part of this incredible event that took place in the Puerto Vallarta Sports Complex. As you can see the children had a wonderful time and so did the players. Thank you to everyone at CONCACAF who made this outing possible. It will be remembered for years to come.
In closing, it’s very important that you all know that Puerto Vallarta still is a vibrant city that LIVES, LAUGHS, PLAYS & SINGS and all of us here at Casa Infantil Mojoneras are waiting for your return with our arms wide open.
In the future, we are going to update this web page regularly, so check back often and we will keep you up to date of all the wonderful things that are happening in this very blessed place we call CASA INFANTIL MOJONERAS.
Serving with love,
Sara de Cardona
