Director, Judith Ávila helping to serve some of the 150 meals a day that are prepared for the children.   The food program is one of the most important programs we have.  Without proper nutrition children are subject to many preventable diseases and health problems.  At Casa Infantil Mojoneras, no child goes away hungry.

English classes are a favorite for lots of the children at Casa Infantil. Classes are taught twice weekly. Here Clark Waycaster is teaching the children how to tell time first in Spanish and then in English. By learning basic English the children will have many more opportunities open to them in the future.

At Casa Infantil we want the children to experience and enjoy their surroundings. As often as time and donations from our generous local businesses permit, we schedule field trips to the beach, mountains or the countryside for a day of fun. Here a local tour company, Vallarta Adventures treated the children to a whale watching tour. What a great day!! Thank you…

A small group of talented children who helped to record the 2008 Christmas CD. Sales of the 2007 & 2008 Christmas CD’s went so well that we were able to purchase the land needed for the new home of Casa Infantil Mojoneras. With our new “Tile Wall Project” and your help, we will be able to build our new larger home, which will enable us to help even more children.

The children themselves are working hard to fund their new facilities.  During the Christmas Holiday they perform the songs on their Christmas CD for specific groups and local events. At each event they offer the CD for sale and 100% of the proceeds go to fund the new home of Casa Infantil Mojoneras.
PS They put on a great show. Come and see one this year…

In addition to performing concerts, starting this summer, to help fund the new home of Casa Infantil, the children themselves will be hand sculpting and hand painting tiles to be sold and displayed in the new building. See Tile Wall Project page for more details and/or to purchase a tile.

At Casa Infantil Mojoneras, when things need to get done, everyone jumps in to help including the local businesses, mothers, children and volunteers. Our rented facility needed a face lift and everyone participated. Home Depot was kind enough to donate the paint and some of the manpower, volunteers scraped and painted and even the children cleaned up. Without a coordinated effort, it would not have been possible. Thank you so much!

We receive donations of clothing from the community and they are distributed on an as needed basis.  Here one of our children proudly displays the new shoes she has just received.  There is nothing better to brighten the spirits and build confidence, for girls anyway, like a new pair of pink flowered sandals…

Christmas is a very special time at Casa Infantil Mojoneras.  The smiles are huge and laughter can be heard for miles.  For some of these children this is the first time they have ever received a Christmas present and if you have never seen the eyes of a child on Christmas morning… Well, there are really no words to describe it.   Thanks to the support we receive each year we are able to make some “dreams come true” for our kids on Christmas morning.

Our goal… For kids to be kids and have the carefree fun that is their birthright.
