Who we Are
Casa Infantil Mojoneras is a unique place where children living in extreme poverty have, perhaps for the first time in their young lives, the opportunity to experience an environment based on respect, honesty, integrity and love. Each child that arrives is instilled with the principals and the basics to live their life with love and intention. In order to accomplish these goals each child is given a strong base to build on at an early age by providing them with basic social skills, warm food, education and a sense of belonging.
Within this framework of love and respect Directors Gerardo and Judith Ávila and a small group of volunteers care for approximately 150 children who consider the Casa Infantil Mojoneras their second home. For some of these children, Casa Infantil Mojoneras is their only safe haven in a world surrounded with extreme poverty, drugs, prostitution, child pornography, alcoholism, and abuse.
This bright shining example of love and caring is made possible only with generous donations from individuals, businesses and organizations. 100% of the money that is donated to Casa Infantil Mojoneras goes directly to helping the children by providing, for some, their first glimpse of a new and better life. A donation to Casa Infantil Mojoneras will not only help these children immediately, it will also help to stop the cycle of poverty, drugs, prostitution, child pornography, alcoholism and abuse.
